Phoenix Public Library Offers New Language Database

Phoenix Public Library now offers its customers a new language database, Auralog, to learn English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Dutch.

Customers can access the free database in the library or from home with their Phoenix Public Library card.

Auralog centers on developing skills needed to succeed in learning a language including: reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and grammar. The software has more than 2,000 hours of learning per language, gauges progress as you learn and suggests exercises best suited to your needs.

Auralog will be replacing Rosetta Stone, which has decided to discontinue selling its online database to public libraries. Rosetta Stone will no longer be available at Phoenix Public Library after June 30, 2008.
